The press is fascinated with the deceitful Rep. George Santos (R-NY) … as they should be. It is good click bait. That provides clicks and readers, which then equals ad revenue.

From Mr. Santos blatant falsehoods to prevaricate ways, they are hot on his tail. Some of this focus is due to reporters being caught flat footed by his resume falsehoods during a campaign; some because the lies are so flagrant and so SNL Tommy Flanagan hilarious; another because he is a Republican which makes this an extremely delicious opportunity to paint Republicans as power hungry and deceitful.

Of course, the latter line of reasoning rarely applies to Democrats.

Take current Democrat U.S. Senator John Fetterman as example. An ill man who they continue to apologize for in their Opinion pages, cover-up and make excuses for his health when he is not mentally or physically capable to do the job. But hey, a vote is a vote. Majorities matter.

So, while George Santos should resign or be expelled, I do not want to hear megalomaniac Democrats talk about power hungry Republicans when they prop up a broken man who needs to focus on his health. But hey, a vote is a vote. Ask Sen. Schumer.

Other politician names will pop up who have embellished resumes. However, why has there never been sustained coverage of Pres. Biden’s past whoopers?

I am not even going to focus on the many Biden doozies, ramblings, and tales he has told while currently in the Oval Office but want to provide a short list of lies from his past.

Biden Doozies:

1987: Graduated with three degrees from college, graduated law school top half of his class with full scholarship

1987: Plagiarized a speech from Neil Kinnock

2019: Traveled to Afghanistan to pin a Purple Heart on a Navy Captain (Obama did, and it was an Army specialist)

Repeatedly: Conversations with a train conductor on Amtrak while visiting his mother in 2015 and 2016 (His mother died in 2010)

2021: He said he spent time at the Tree of Life Synagogue that experienced mass shooting in Pittsburg (He never visited)

2021: He claimed to have been arrested during civil rights march in the 1960s

2020: He claimed he was arrested while visiting Nelson Mandela

2008: He said he was arrested as a college student

2007: He said he was arrested by the Capitol Police when he was 21

2021: “I worked part-time as a tractor driver”

2007: His first job offer was from Idaho Timber Company

2021: He hit the ball 386 feet off right--centerfield during a Congressional baseball game

Repeatedly: Beau died in Iraq

2022: He survived a house fire

Repeatedly: The driver who killed his family was drunk

2022: He had an offer from Annapolis and turned it down

2008: His family were coal miners

2022: His uncle won Purple Heart

2007: Called Milosevic a war criminal to his face

2020: Did a sit-in for civil rights

2022: He attended shul

2022: He was raised in a Puerto Rican community

Repeatedly: He hiked the Himalayas with Xi Jinping

2022: He spoked to the doctor who invented insulin (He died months before Biden was born)

These are just a few. His lies and misrepresentations could provide material for a tome … if not a multi-volume series.

This is not a defense of Rep. George Santos. He should resign or be expelled, but don’t take Democrats or the press allies seriously on this issue. They have been covering for the president’s same stunts for decades.
