Tipping—Another Way to View It
There has been lots of chatter lately about tipping. Especially the new forced-upon practice of the cashier requesting a tip when you go to coffee shops, fast casual restaurants, fast food places, etc. “Because of this ‘tipflation,’ 72% of adults in the United States report that tipping is expected in more places compared to five years ago.
Likewise, 53% say they’ve encountered a tip screen at a business that didn’t have one before."
I have to admit, it is now comical when you place an order and the cashier sheepishly says, ‘Can you answer this question?’ and then flips around the tip screen with a tip amount requested. It is not even 10% anymore. It starts at 15% and goes up (don't get me started when people request 30% or 40% tips).
This new trend is grating on so many people's nerves that now we have major publications and social media debating proper tipping etiquette.
There are perfectly sound reasons for not tipping—especially at fast food joints. However, I have decided to take a different tack to this forced-upon request.
When people work, I want to reward them. Always have. As a result, I have reduced donations elsewhere and rewarded those actually working.
That is my decision, but when I can help someone working earn a bit more, I am happy too. Thus ends the great tipping debate for me. Reward work.
The Most Dangerous Places in the U.S.
U.S. News and World Report posted the 10 most dangerous cities in America:
Guess what they all have in common? Except for Pueblo, all are Democrat-led and have been for many years.
Democrats with their incoherence and absurdity, try to somehow connect some cities to being in red states. Ahhh, these are the same people who are having an absolute mental breakdown about the possibility of Trump sending the National Guard in to clean up cities. Reality is Democrats have no clue how to fight crime. How do I know? Look who runs the crime infested cities.
Trump Sending National Guard to Chicago?
Of course, America's worst mayor, race-baiter, Brandon Johnson, and the Michelin tire model, Gov. JB Pritzker, are throwing a literal hissy fit about the possibility President Trump would send in the National Guard to help the victims of crime infested Chicago. Socialist Mayor Johnson doesn't care that 74% of murder victims are black. He likes to play the race card but does not care who is getting killed. He has gone so far as to sign an executive order "aimed at curbing the power of federal law enforcement officers and National Guard troops that he said President Donald Trump has threatened to deploy to Illinois.”
Here is my suggestion for President Trump: leave them be. Let the murder victims’ blood be on Socialist Brandon Johnson and Michelin Balloon Gov. JB Pritzker. These are bad men. Their only desire is to gain and keep power. The deaths of young black men be damned.
So President Trump, give these two "Dumb and Dumber" the one-finger salute and let the mayhem continue. If their voters care, they can raise their voices. If the people of Chicago do not want help, then as Captain Kirk (William Shatner) said in Star Trek VI, "Let them die." It is a brutal way to view it, but apparently that is what Dumb and Dumber want.
Democrat Beta Males
Sadly our nation is being forced to endure the Democrat wannabe boys trying to pretend they are tough. They think using the F word, talking tough, etc is going to attract male voters. The only people who are excited about this new tactic are old white liberal men and women. They lie about facts. They dismiss problems that are clear to anyone with eyes to see. If Trump said oxygen is good for you, they would put bags over their head and hold their breath. These are such rotten, narcissistic souls that they cannot even admit Washington, D.C., had a crime problem in July.
Unfortunately, we are going to have their D-list bit-player acting forced upon us by their clapping seals in the major national news outlets through 2026.
Whenever I see them yapping on cable or on X, I think back to the Family Guy episode where Peter asks his drinking buddies, “How many fourth graders could you take at once?”
The sad reality is that people like Newsom, Cory Booker, Tim Walz, et cetera, have what they think are tough-guy conversations and think a majority of Americans want to hear it.
