Two things should be on the agenda for Republicans when Congress returns to session and the government shutdown ends:
-
Impeaching the judge overseeing the case about the assassination attempt on Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
-
Investigating Harvard.
Let’s start with the second one first. Three things in life are certain: death, taxes, and that Harvard will humiliate itself.
On Yom Kippur, the most sacred Jewish holiday, Carlos Portugal Gouvea walked into a synagogue in Brookline, MA, and fired a pellet gun. After his arrest, he explained his action: He was hunting rats.
At least he was not hiding behind “anti-Zionism” and was honest that he just hates Jews.
This guy happens to be a visiting professor at Harvard Law School from Brazil. Two things should happen. First of all, he should not be deported. Actually, put the guy in prison first. After his sentence ends, send him on a plane back to Brazil. (He has been released without bail on state charges, as you would expect in Blue America. Attorney General Pam Bondi should bring federal civil rights charges and request that he stay in jail until his trial.)
This is from The Harvard Crimson:
Gouvea is also an associate professor at the University of São Paulo Law School and leads a Brazilian think tank that researches social and environmental justice, according to its website. Gouvea graduated from Harvard Law School with a doctorate in 2008.
And according to his website, the guy was involved in enacting a gun control law in Brazil. You could not make this up: The guy walking into a synagogue to shoot Jews is a gun control activist! A look at his curriculum vitae shows that he is as left-wing as you get.
Portugal Gouvea teaches courses on human rights and ethics at Harvard. And here’s the best part: As of now, he is on administrative leave but is not facing any disciplinary action from Harvard.
Remember the Congressional hearing with the elite university presidents earlier this year? Round 2, let’s go!
In addition, the House must subpoena John C.P. Goldberg, the dean of Harvard Law School. Subpoena his class records and syllabi, too. Ask students to come as witnesses. What did this guy teach American students? Did Harvard bring a foreigner on the taxpayers’ dime to teach future American lawyers how evil America is? In his human rights class, did he teach that human rights only apply to humans, and not rats, by which he meant Jews?
Why on earth did Harvard Law School hire this monster to teach, other than that he is a left-wing radical?
And while we are at it, stop negotiating with Harvard over reforms to restore its funding. Cut and give it to state universities where middle-class American kids attend. Harvard will never reform itself. Stop dreaming.
There must be a congressional hearing on this for all Americans to see on television the cesspool that is the elite university.
Second thing Congress should do: Impeach U.S. District Judge Deborah Boardman.
Boardman is an LGBT+ activist masquerading as a judge. She is the federal judge overseeing the sentencing of the person who tried to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. I say person because, between the assassination attempt and the sentencing, Nicholas John Roske became Sophie Roske, which was a good reason for Boardman to cut his prison sentence FOURTH!
Again, you could not make this up! This is a quote from Boardman:
“Why do you think that Ms. Roske, sitting here three years later, poses a danger to the public? We can agree Ms. Roske needs intensive therapy. Will she be provided that in the Bureau of Prisons?
This is after Roske was found guilty! Why this leniency? Because Roske is transgender. Citing an executive order that biological males should be sent to male prisons, Boardman said:
I take into consideration the conditions of pre-trial confinement and the fact that she is a transgender woman and will be sent to a male-only [prison] facility.
The prosecutors had recommended a 30-year sentence, but Boardman handed down only 8 years to accommodate the fact that the biological male says he is a woman. I personally think that we should be tolerant of adults even when we do not approve of their choices, but I am willing to make an exception when it comes to someone who tried to kill a Supreme Court justice. Boardman is the opposite. She actually likes the Roske family. Here is another quote from the LGBT activist pretending to be a jurist:
I am heartened that this terrible infraction has helped the Roske family… accept their daughter for who she is.
Come on! Heartened? And let’s not overlook what “terrible infraction,” by which she means planning to assassinate three Supreme Court justices and being arrested while acting on killing one of them.
I am against cheapening impeachment. Not everything is an impeachable offense. Just because you disagree with someone does not mean that you should impeach them. But this is not about that. This is not even incompetence. It is malice—malice against the law.
Boardman is also the judge who ruled that parents could not pull their kids from LGBT+ indoctrination classes in Mahmoud v. Taylor before having her ruling overturned by the Supreme Court. Obviously, she cannot be trusted, at least on LGBT+ cases, if anything at all, because she hates the law and believes that she should rule on what she thinks is right, not what the law says.
But the role of a judge is not to rule on what he or she likes to be policy. (Look up Atonin Scalia on flag burning as a model for an honest jurist.) Boardman’s job is to rule on what the law says, not her heart. She is obviously incapable of that, which means that she has no place to be a judge.
She should be impeached. And she will be fine. She will become a resistance celebrity, join some Soros funded non-profit and and LGBT+ activist. Which is her right in a free country, just that she cannot abuse the law from the bench.
In fact, I’m sure that Harvard Law School will have her to teach Portugal Gouvea’s class while he is in prison.
