Some states are saying yes to “No Tax on Tips” — while others are rejecting it.

According to Ballotpedia’s Daily Brew, 19 states have adopted the deduction, 21 have declined, and Georgia has partially conformed. The policy allows eligible workers to deduct up to $25,000 in qualified tip income from their federal taxable income from 2025 through 2028.

So why are some states embracing it while others are saying no?
